This part of the SOP is a brief guide on our approach to the first meeting with startups that we are looking to invest in.
While every meeting is slightly different depending on the circumstances, the general format goes something along the lines of this:
We'll introduce the Mäd group briefly, and give an overview of our main investment strategy and what we hope could happen.
We then hear from the startup about the founders backgrounds.
We inquire about the product and services offered by the startup, and we will try to deeply understand their overall business model. If a deck was already sent, we will ask questions about the content.
Financial potential of the business.
What are the ambitions if things go really well in 3-5 years time?
Some questions that generally are discussed:
What is the startup looking to gain from Mäd?
What type of support Mäd can offer
What percentage of shareholding are we interested in taking.
How do we value startups?
